Mission Statement
The CALM mission is to educate, train and serve the general population and underserved communities in matters of alternative dispute resolution, especially mediation, as a means to self determination and peace building.
We are a community-based mediation firm consisting of seasoned professionals, volunteers, and interns dedicated to reaching and serving people at the earliest possible stage of a dispute or claim. As mediation professionals, we promote and enhance your ability to control your own outcome using creative problem-solving and interest-based bargaining. Our founder, president, and chief mediator LA Hughes, MA, JD has been practicing for over 25 years. She is a member of the Southern California Mediation Association. As part of a nationwide network, she can access top mediators in the field to handle complex matters at a negotiated reduced fee. Talk to a CALM representative first.
